Well, it’s finally August and the weather is nice and sunny- oh, wait, it’s raining again.  Either way, it is perfect weather for some soccer here in Seattle.  And with that in mind, awaaaay we go!

New Signings

The Seattle Sounders have added two more players to the roster:  Ciaran O’Brien (younger brother to Leighton) and Kevin Forrest.  Ciaran, on loan from the Colorado Rapids, will fill in for his brother, who suffered a fractured wrist and will miss the next four weeks.  Kevin was a standout at UW and could end up being a great target man up front.  In an interview with the Seattle PI, Ciaran said he is “passionate about the Sounders” and he is excited to get going.  Kevin’s father, Ward, played for the old NASL Sounders back in the day.

ECS is in good form and good spirit in mid-July.
