R.I.P. “Tuba Man” – Ed McMichael

On behalf of the Emerald City Supporters, we extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of the late Ed McMichael. His passing is a great loss to all of the fans of Seattle sports teams.

The passion and commitment that Ed showed for local sports is something that every sports fan should look up to and admire.
Many of us have interacted with Ed, be it at a Seahawks game, a Mariners game, a T-Birds game, a Sonics game, a Storm game, or a Sounders match.
He always showed the utmost pride in being a fan of Seattle sporting teams.

Ed “Tuba Man” McMichael will be in our thoughts as we sing our songs and play our musical instruments of choice during Sounders matches for years to come.
