St. Paddy’s Day March & Drive #8

If you wanna be as cool as Geoff Hodo, then you’ll have to come out and march with ECS on Saturday the 14th.

There’s nothing like singing and chanting at a match to urge your club on to victory. There’s also nothing like walking down fourth avenue in downtown Seattle singing the same songs to masses of people.

You see, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade is like an ECS hazing ritual of sorts. Except the participants like it so much that they keep coming back.

Singing the same songs to the general public that are usually reserved for your club can be quite the daunting experience. That’s why we’re meeting up at Fado’s Irish Pub starting at 8:30am for a bit of liquid courage. And, in the spirit of St. Paddy’s Day, Car Bombs and Irish Coffees are the beverages of choice.

The plan is to meet up bright and early starting at 8:30AM. We’ll commence a special early morning drink-up and then head out for the 10:30 AM participants call for the St. Paddy’s Day parade. Then we’ll march. After we’re done we’ll sing our way down to Fuel and McCoy’s for ECS membership drive #8. Seem like a simple plan, doesn’t it?

To get into the St. Paddy’s Day spirit come discuss it with us here.

In case you can’t make it to the march but want to meet up later plan on being at Fuel and McCoy’s anytime after 2pm. As always, Fuel and McCoy’s will be in their usual locations.
