1,700 Miles for our Boys!

An ECS contingent of 40 is traveling to Chicago for Saturday’s game. If you’re one of us, here’s the plans:

Talk about the upcoming game here.

Game Tickets
We have bought 40 tickets which are all spoken for. We can take orders through Friday. Cost is $25 (includes fees, etc). If you still want tickets with us, you have until May 1, just reply in the thread and send YukataNinja a PM. We are in section 134 and have rail space.

Plane tickets
You are own your own. You can fly in and out of O’Hare or Midway, sometimes Midway is cheaper.

Transportation
Chicago has a very good mass transit, called the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) or EL (pronounced as just the letter L, for elevated train). http://www.transitchicago.com/

Airports
From O’Hare you can take the Blue line into town and from Midway you can take the Orange line.

Game day
The Fire play in the suburb Bridgeview at Toyota Park, a Soccer Specific Stadium. From the city you can take the Orange line to the Midway station. On game days there is an express bus to Toyota park (Route 386 Toyota Park Express) from Midway. The bus starts 2hrs before kickoff (5:30pm, central time, for our game) and leaves 30 min after the game ends. Need to verify how long service runs after the game. Fare is $1.75. More info on the bus here. Toyota Park directions page here.

Anyone that will be in 134 with us needs to meet us in the lot near GATE F and come in with us as a group. Security will be coming out to meet us and escort us to our section.

Tailgate
4:30 PM Central Time, this is right when the lots open. We will be in the east lot and enter through Gate F. On the little map below, go in the third drive from the right on 71st. That’s right near Gate F. We’ll be in the spaces closest to the stadium near Gate F so you should see us, but if not look for green. If you have some wheels and can grab some grub or beer then please reply to the thread. If you need a lift that early then please coordinate in the thread as the shuttle doesn’t start from Midway until 5:30.

Chicago
It’s a great city, much to do.
Time zone is Central, which is 2 hours ahead of Pacific.

That should sort that out. If you’re in two days early, as I will be, shoot an email to ecgooner@weareecs.com and we’ll try to meet up.

See you on the terraces (IN CHICAGO!!!!),
Keef
