Finding Your Form in Enemy Territory

The goalless drought at RBP continues but the Sounders will need to score on the road if they want to make the playoffs. Photo by Keef.

We have not scored at Royal Brougham Park in around 314 minutes of league play. Dating back to Ianni’s bicycle kick goal against Houston in the 46th minute. If you add in the friendlies against Chel$ki and Barcelona that number jumps to a staggering 494 minutes since our last goal at RBP. Add this to the fact that we’ve only accumulated 6 points during that period from 7 games and the tension is CERTAINLY rising.

For the September 12th match the Sounders will find themselves making their second trip to DCU in nine days. The trip from Seattle to the east coast can be brutual and the lads will be in one of the most hostile environments in MLS. However, taking points from this match is crucial to our playoff chances. We must come out of the match no worse than a draw.

For this match we’re returning to one of our primary away locations, the Atlantic Crossing! Come out for the primary Seattle party and be sure to make some noise for the lads! To three points!
