Spitfire Saturday: Pink Cows Head to Slaughter

Don’t worry PETA, there will be no unethical treatment of animals this Saturday. Sounders FC will be facing their weak matchday one opponents again. Photo: Rob Scott

This week marks the first true fixture congestion in Sounders FC’s young history. The team started out on the right foot, collecting three points off the Quakes, and need to end it just as strongly against NJRB (New Jersey R*d B*lls). The pink cows find themselves in a terrible run of form having lost five straight (four league, one US Open Cup). Sounders FC supporters should expect nothing less than three points from this match as the cows will have it all to do.

Ljungberg and Montero have been mixing well with the seemingly always stellar Zakuani which led to chance after chance against the Quakes. If they can bring the form we witnessed for the first 65 minutes the game should be completely out of reach. With Wednesday’s home game and a quick turn-around for Saturday don’t be surprised if one of the before-mentioned stars gets a rest for one of our former USL faves (ALLEZ LE TOUX!).
