The Next to Fall? RSL, Saturday Nite!

Sounders FC fired on all cylinders last Thursday. Will Saturday be more of the same or a departure from our winning ways? Photo courtesy: Jenni Conner
The second match. Do you even recall exhaling during that match last Thursday? For many it was the culmination of a year and a half’s wait. For others it represented Seattle coming back to top-flight US football after a 25-year absence. Regardless, it was a hell of a ride.
And we hope you’re ready to do it again!
Plans for match day two will be very similar to opening day. We’ll have a full-fledged membership drive from 4:00 to 5:50 at both Fuel and McCoy’s Firehouse. At 5:25 we will be auctioning off two tickets to the match at Fuel via a live auction. We will then auction off one ticket for the match at McCoy’s at 5:35. All proceeds benefit the Scott Buschen fund.
At 6:00 that we’ll leave Fuel and McCoy’s and head over to Occidental Park. At Occidental Park we will meet up with Sound Wave and for the second march to Qwest Field. Once there please wait for ECS members to arrive so we can all go in the South West entrance.
If you’re a count by numbers person as we are, here’s the plans:
1) Drink at Fuel (21 and over only) or McCoy’s (all-ages)
2) Meet in Occidental Park
3) March to Qwest Field through the square continuing on Occidental
4) Kick ass!
Once at the gates for Qwest ECS will wait just inside the gates for the group to get in and then march down to the GA AS A GROUP.
US National Team Fans — Worried about missing the action for the El Salvador : USA fixture that starts at 6PM PT? Head on back to Fuel after the match for a 10PM replay of the match in their upstairs lounge! If the lounge fills up we’ll just turn on more TVs!
See you on the terraces!
