Dec. 15, 2010: Colombia Fundraiser @ Fuel – 6pm

It’s time to help a hero help his people. Please join all Seattle Sounders FC supporter groups and the Seattle Sounders FC next Wednesday, December 15th from 6 – 9 pm at Fuel.

Some of you may have heard that Fredy Montero is down in Colombia right now helping his grandparents relocate as their home has been destroyed by the flooding. More details can be found at http://www.soundersfc.com/News/Articles/2010/12-December/Colombia-Flood-Relief.aspx.

The Emerald City Supporters, Gorilla FC, and North End Supporters were asked by SSFC to come together to help raise money for the non-profit organization Mercy Corps. Mercy Corps is currently providing emergency relief kits, including: clean water, food and hygiene materials.

We ask ALL Seattle Sounders supporters attend the event next Wednesday, but we do understand that it is short notice. We understand that the holidays are rapidly approaching so money is tight. If you can not attend you will missed and we hope you can still donate online. More details for online donations will be coming soon via the ECS website so check back soon for more details. The Sweatshop will be broadcasting live from Fuel and will also be announcing various ways to donate if you cannot attend.

There will be many Sounders coaches and players on hand to help host the event and sign autographs. There will be tons of exclusive auction items, including but not limited to the following:

- Autographed soccer balls and jerseys
- VIP experience for the Community Shield match in March
- Play a Sounder FC in FIFA 11

Cost: Suggested donation is $5 per person, with ALL proceeds going to Mercy Corps.

ECS Members – Please note that Fuel will not be honoring ECS discounts that day, as they will be donating 10% of ALL profits made between 6pm and 9pm to Mercy Corps!
