253 Defiance
Who We Are
The 253 Defiance (also known as 253D) is a loud and proud subgroup of the ECS. We represent Sounders supporters in the South Sound areas of Tacoma & Puyallup. We have a passion unmatched for the Sounders and love to have fun. Started by Paul Rosa and a handful of friends in 2009, the 253 Defiance is growing steadily with over 150 members from the 253 area.
What We Do
Among the 253 Defiance traditions is our matchday group photo. We get together for the 253 Defiance chant and picture on the concourse above 122 after every match. Offseason activities include making Tifo, attending roller derby matches, Tacoma Stars indoor matches PASL, as well as playing the great game on the ECS FC & the 253 Defiance soccer team.
How To Join
253 Defiance is open to all ECS members, not just those living in the 253 area code. To join 253 Defiance just sign up on the ECS subgroup forum page & find us on Facebook under 253 Defiance. Come get involved & share the passion!
253 Defiance has a full line of merchandise available at all matches & viewings at The Twisted Kilt & The Office. This includes great items like scarves, bandannas, patches, etc.

Where We Meet
Away matches we gather at our home pub, The Twisted Kilt

The TK allows and encourages 253 Defiance members to bring their full 90 and we do. 253D treats away match viewings much the same as home, in full voice!
