Brougham Boys ‘74
The Brougham Boys ‘74 is the ultras group within the ECS. Not know what an ultra is? Then no reason to read any further.
The members of the Brougham Boys ‘74 are ultras with past terrace experience in the United States and overseas. The membership to the group is by invite only. ECS members that demonstrate commitment to the ECS and the Sounders through devotion and loyalty are invited into the group by current Brougham Boys. The symbol of belonging is the Brougham Boys ‘74 scarf.
The Brougham Boys ‘74 name originates from the location of the ECS terrace: the Brougham End. The group name also honors the past history of the Sounders with ‘74 as the Sounders were founded in 1974. The ode to the past and the Brougham End show a long-term pledge to the team, to the ECS, and to supporter culture in the Puget Sound.
Brougham Boys are ECS members and enjoy the full privileges of ECS membership. However, a Brougham Boy is expected to exceed the level of effort of his fellow ECS members to ensure the growth of the ECS and its presence on the terrace. Brougham Boys are expected to help organize the ECS, ensure that game day operations are conducted smoothly, and help spread supporter culture propaganda amongst ECS members.
