COME CELEBRATE THE FIRST EVER MLS CASCADIA MATCH AT THE BROUGHAM BLOCK PARTY
The historic Cascadia rivalry between the Portland Timbers, Vancouver Whitecaps, and Seattle Sounders makes a triumphant rise to Major League Soccer on Saturday, May 14, as the Seattle Sounders host the Portland Timbers at Qwest Field.
To celebrate the first of these derby matches, The Emerald City Supporters, with their partner, Fuel Sports Bar, will host the Brougham Block Party. Located at the corner of Occidental Avenue and South Washington Street, this 21+ event will feature beer garden, food and full bar, ECS membership and merchandise tables, and raucous chants and songs led by ECS capos.
Festivities begin at 2 p.m. and all Sounders fans (21 and over) are encouraged to stop by, mingle, eat, drink and sing for our boys.
Raffle tickets will be sold with some great prizes to win that include a 3 bottle Jager machine (the ones you see at bars) and a1 bus/match ticket combo for July 10th PDX away.
Fuel will also be offering specials that will be open to everyone which include:
- $5 Chili Cheese Hotdogs
- 2 for $10 shots of Jager
- $7 Jager bombs (normally $8)
- $6 shots of Jameson (normally $7)
- $8 double tall vodka Red Bulls

PDX AWAY TICKETS ON-SALE!

Join the Emerald City Supporters at the first ever MLS Away Match to Portland!
The historic rivalry between the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders will make the leap to the next level as hundreds of Sounders Supporters descend on Jen-Weld Field on Sunday, July 10, as the Seattle Sounders take on the Portland Timbers.
As we celebrate this rivalry, The Emerald City Supporters will travel to Portland in historic numbers. We have secured over 400 tickets for this match, and will charter 7 or 8 buses for the trip. Buses will leave Seattle on Sunday morning early, returning Sunday night after the match. Bus stops will also be set up in Tacoma and Olympia. Exact locations are still TBD. Brougham Bitter will be provided on the bus for anyone 21+. ANY drinks consumed on the bus must be consumed from a plastic cup (no bottles). Please bring a sack lunch for the day or any food you would like to consume on the bus.
The cost for a round trip bus ride and a match ticket is $72.

ECS Shirt Design Competition – VOTE NOW!
Well, ECS members, that was a success – we received a total of 43 qualifying designs!
And now …. we have to choose the top 3. Please dont be heartbroken if the ones you vote for dont win: You'll have another chance next year!
Each member is allowed to vote once for up to three designs. ECS will be producing the 3 winning designs in limited production runs immediately after the voting ends. Voting is open until noon on Friday, May 20th. Designers, feel free to campaign for your designs!
