SoCal Sound
Who we are
We are a group of passionate Seattle Sounders supporters who live in Southern California – but bleed blue and green! The SCS grew as a regional expansion of the Emerald City Supporters. It doesn’t matter if you have been a Sounders fan from the start, have never been to an MLS game, or have even been to Seattle – We welcome any and all who want to be a part of the excitement of singing and chanting for the Sounders.
What we do
We attend each Sounders game in Los Angeles together to give our full 90 for the rave green! Winning, losing, or tied, we stand, sing, chant, beat our drum, and display our scarves and tifo to give our full support until the very last player and coach has left the pitch. We meet up before each game at Home Depot Center in the East end of parking lot 6 for food and drink, singing and chanting, and getting to know each other. We march from our spot in lot 6 to our seats approximately 30 minutes before kickoff, carrying on the tradition of the March to the Match that happens at each Sounders home game! We are NOT a group of hooligans, and violence and verbal threats to opposing fans are not tolerated. We also organize trips for more distant venues like San Jose.
Our goals
We aim to be the biggest and most consistent base of Sounders supporters outside of Washington State. We strive for this by connecting with Sounders supporters of all ages in the Southern California area, encouraging those from other regions to travel, and bringing new supporters into the fold. We also aim to further the spirit of sportsmanship by meeting & greeting with Chivas USA and LA Galaxy supporters before games – but inside the stadium we do our best to drown them out with our SoCalSound!

4/18 game experience
The first of us showed up a full 7 hours before kickoff, and we trickled into the parking lot until we reached our full strength of between 70 and 80 strong! We shared stories about previous games, about travels to get to LA, and what we looked forward to about this match.
We accepted an invite from the home team supporter group, the Union Ultras, to join them for a tailgate with hot links, 3 homemade salsas and homemade guacamole! They were excellent hosts and as we met each other, we established a friendly relationship between our two groups. SCS looks forward to future games against Chivas USA for the matchups on the pitch, but also the camaraderie and excellent food!
We practiced our songs and chants in the parking lot until about 60 minutes before kickoff when we marched into the Home Depot Center as a group – singing and displaying our tifo all the way! Then, until the last players and coaches left the pitch, we stood together, sang, chanted, displayed our flags and supported our team. It was a success, and Southern California will continue to become the largest base of Sounders supporters outside of Washington.
