Alaska Airlines Discount

ECS has partnered with Alaska Airlines to bring you discounted airfare to most of the Sounders’ away games.  Alaska Airlines is offering ECS members a 7% discount on travel to and from cities served by Alaska or Horizon Airlines. The discount applies to all fares except for Hot Deals. The discount is good for up to 3 days before and 3 days after the game.

Sign Up

  1. You need to be a paid member of the Emerald City Supporters.  If you are not already, you need to join up.
  2. Next, you need to be a member of Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan.  You can read about their plan, or you can take our word for it and go straight to the signup page.
  3. Now that you’re signed up for ECS and Alaska Air’s Mileage Plan, you need to be added to ECS’s account.  We use a special portal on Alaska’s web site called EasyBiz.  To get signed up for EasyBiz, you need to send ECS the following information as it appears on your Mileage Plan:
    • First and Last Name
    • Email Address

    Email that information to fly@WeAreECS.com.

  4. You’ll receive an invite email from Alaska Airlines to join the EasyBiz program.  Follow the link in that email to confirm. You’ll receive a final email from Alaska Air with information about your new membership in ECS’s EasyBiz portal.

Purchase Airfare

  1. When you want to shop for your airfare, go to Alaska Air’s EasyBiz logon.  Log on with your Mileage Plan number and password.  The top of the page should say Emerald City Supporters.  You must log on via the EasyBiz portal and your Mileage Plan number to get the ECS discount. If it doesn’t say EasyBiz and Emerald City Supporters on the top of the page, you’re not going to get a discount.
  2. Shop for your trip normally, using Travel => New Reservations.  Towards the bottom of the page is an area labeled Search Preferences. Select Contract Fares in the pull-down box:

And that’s all there is to it!  On the next page, the flights will be presented with the applicable ECS discount in the fare prices.

You will continue to earn your full mileage credits, just as you would before.  Upgrade eligibility information is on the fare page and is the same as if you were buying the ticket on your own.  Unfortunately codeshare flights that are operated by other airlines are not eligible, even if you buy a ticket through Alaska Airlines. Also, if you use our EasyBiz portal for discounted flights and your personal travel, you will be helping the ECS.
