What does it mean to love?  We sing about it in a lot of our songs, but what’s it actually mean?  Do the words ring hollow, manipulated by modern society?  Or do they have a meaning, something deep and powerful?  Walk with me on a journey through the word and you’ll see why we never stop loving our Sounders.

Love endures through high time and low times.  Love doesn’t care about your flaws; love supports you in getting over them. Love means supporting when they don’t deserve it, because they need it.

'Cause we love our Sounders

Love the blue and the green

And we’ll keep on singing

‘til the next victory

August 6th, 2011:  Down 1-0 in the 90th minute, the Sounders Faithful supporting in Kansas City were rewarded for their full 90 with goals by Mauro Rosales in the 90th and Lamar Neagle in the 92nd giving the team a 2-1 victory.

Love is unconditional. Love means putting yourself aside because something else is more important. Love doesn’t want anything in return. Love has no expectations. Love cannot be understood.

For our boys! For our boys!

Until the end! Until the end!

Our love for you only the gods can understand!

June 18th, 2011:  After a 49th minute red card to Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, the Sounders supporters in Toronto kept the faith and kept singing.  During “Take Em All” in the 90th minute, Fredy Montero buried a free kick in the upper corner as the Sounders stole a 1-0 victory from the home side.

Love doesn’t care what you look like, how you act, or what you say. Love forgives and comes back stronger than ever. Love knows no ends.

I’m Sounders ‘til I Die

I’m Sounders ‘til I die

I know I am

I’m sure I am

I’m Sounders ‘til I die

November 2nd, 2011:  Down 0-3 after the away leg in Salt Lake City, the Sounders needed a massive scoreline to continue their playoff run.  Still scoreless at halftime, the team scored 2 goals in quick succession in the 56th and 61st to give the ultimate suspense to the final 30 minutes of the match but eventually came up short.

We never stop supporting the Sounders because we never stop loving them.  No matter what happens on the pitch, they are our team and we stand beside them.  Home and away, they feed off our support and our support pushes them into another gear.  Even when the match is out of reach, our support continues because we know they’ll be back out there again soon.  Everything we do is done for them.  And we know it matters to them, because they tell us so.

"I feel sorry for the fans. As always, they are supporting us. We couldn't give to them what they need and what they deserve today - the Cascadia Cup." -Mauro Rosales, Post-Match Interview, 9 October 2013

"I can't even imagine what it's going to be like when the whole stadium is completely packed and they're behind us. We'll feed off that energy and we'll make sure we give everything we have to let them go home happy." - Clint Dempsey, 21 August 2013.

"They were on a good streak, we were on a good streak, but we're unstoppable with these fans behind us." - Lamar Neagle, 18 May 2013.

What we do matters, don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise. And that is why we never stop doing it.
