I am not sure if this is exactly the right place to post about this, but I am interested in starting an ECS MC. I am hoping there are enough riders in ECS to make it worthwhile. I am posting to get an idea of anyone who would be interested in being part of an ECS MC. nothing overly involved, just possibly riding down to matches, possibly road tripping to the portland match, ECS charity rides, etc. anyone who is interested or has any other suggestions for me, i welcome all responses.

Would be the cool, but I can see it being perceived different from outsiders. Especially if you start having rockers and colors, like hanging from your bars.

I'd say go for it, but hold off on cuts. Just my 2cents

I was debating this last night, whether we wanted to go for an MC or an RC. MCs tend to have alot more structure and patch in process, where and RC would be alot less rigid and would be more open to everyone. it is just a question of what people are really interested in doing. i do really like the idea of having a cut though because there are some badass ECS emblems that would make awesome cuts.

I'd be 100% interested in doing this. Currently deployed out of the area till next JAN, but willing to help long distance if needed and it gets off the ground. I Love the idea of an MC style, just worried about it's ability to blend with the ECS. As with all sub groups it's very important IMHO to be ECS 1st and foremost and subgroup (ASG, 253, LBFV etc.) 2nd. That said I really hope this takes off. Count me in wether it's a MC, RC or you just want someone to ride with!

keeping teh ECS as #1 is important to me as well, this would strictly be a group within the whole. I just had a feeling there were alot of riders mixed in with the ECS crowd, considering drinking, futbol and riding are the 3 greatest things on earth.

^ especially if you do all three at once!

Please don't drink and drive.

On a related note, what would people suggest for a first bike? Want to learn how to ride, no motorcycle experience.

Ill sell you one of mine, or you can try one out. Only go for bobbers though (rigid frame, one with no real spring seat). That'll get you set right away, haha. It'll hurt you worse than riding a horse for a whole week and your arms will feel like you've been operating a jack hammer. Toughin' you up and get ta straight real quick.

Right now I'm getting ready to try my first transfer and set to a suicide shifter on one of them.

Were was this 5 years ago, I'm retired from riding for now. I think it's a fun idea though. You'd probably hit a wider range with an RC though as a MC might be too indimidating for the more casual, new rider.

I would say depending on your size, go for a 500-650cc cruiser, something like a Suzuki Boulevard S40 or a Honda Shadow 500, those are easy to learn on for a year or so until you develop a comfort level to move up to a bigger bike... that and they get awesome MPG.

The more i think about it, the more i think you're right. to really reach out to the casual sunday riders we need to remain approachable with this idea.
