Be honest. Leadership has run out of things to drink haven't they.

I volunteer as tribute to try any alcoholic beverage put in front of me.

This is from back in my bartending days:

Silver Surfer
1.5 oz citrus vodka
1.5-25 oz good sour mix
generous lemon squeeze
.5 oz hypnotiq

Shake and strain into a glass or serve with rocks, I don't care about that part. (it was originally a shooter, parts may have to be increased to make it non-shot-like)

yeah, I know, its very similar to a lemon drop or a kamikaze, but I searched it out when I first started pouring them, and to my knowledge it's different. I also have one called the invisible girl but its not as good. (sensing a theme?)

I love inventing new drinks but its harder when you don't work behind a bar!

So these are, I assume, going to be made at the party with whatever happens to be behind the bar at Fred's?

No, the winners will become signature, custom cocktails which Fred will be serving (using the ingredients in the recipe) at our event.

Correct.

Which makes coming up with a good name for your cocktail even more important!

Not cool, especially when the cocktail is a Murray Stenson original that I stole from a guy I once worked for, name not required...

80% Patron Silver*
10% Cointreau
10% fresh OJ

Shake and strain, served up in a chilled martini glass.

*as an tequila snob, unfortunately, using anything other than Patron, even using Tequila 7 (the original Patron), doesn't work for the drink. I know, I tried them all.

You people make it sound like there's a prohibition against making these at home in order to be an educated voter.
