KämpaShowan -Solidarity with a fellow supporter

General ECS talk.

Showan Shatak, a fellow Malmö FF supporter and Ultra was on saturday evening stabbed and brutally beaten by nazis in Malmö, Sweden.
His condition is critical and he is currently under sedation.
Showan is an active anti-racism & anti-homphobia campaigner and has strongly contributed to create the culture of stands in MFF, and for that he almost payed with his life.

Football(soccer) supporters from rivaling Swedish teams, Europe and from across the globe have now shown their support with the swedish phrase "Kämpa Showan!" or #kaempashowan on twitter.
.
If you would like to send him a though or show him support I would like to invite you to do so on:
https://www.facebook.com/ultrasmalmo
https://www.facebook.com/kaempakamrater

If you have friends that are supporters of rivaling teams I would apreciate if you could invite them to show support too.
Regardless of team colors should both regular supporters and ultras stand united against nazi violence and hate crimes

Thank you for you support.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. Out of curiosity, what inspired you to reach out to us here in Seattle?

I' ve been following/supporting sounders since 2009, and have been sticking around this forum since then, even though I'm not very active here.
So when I saw support from all kind of different teams flooding in...

Awful. I saw friends tweeting about it. Didn't realize he was from Malmo.

Close tie to us as that is where Erik Friberg transferred to a couple years back.

My best to Showan and to all of you.

I heard from a friend in Malmö that teams like BvB, Bayern Munich AND Seattle sounders had banners supporting Showan.

Sadly i got abit ashamed aswell, i was at this game :

Very nice support from the Malmö fans, sadly not from my own team Hammarby. Some Hammarby-supporters had made banners to show their support. But since involving politics on the stands is a big no no in Sweden some people got mad and tore down their banners... :( ("since Showan got in fight between left-wings and right-wings that had nothing to do with football") If you ask me and most Hammarby-supporters, antinazism isn't politics.

Given the position of the La Barra flag in the background I'm guessing this was someone from GFC possibly?

Confirmed. They had two 2-poles up. Saw it from 121. It's not often that I agree with GFC, but I agreed with their show of support on Saturday.
