Is this tougher than it has been in previous years? Seems like it. Roldan, Bruin, Frei, Dempsey all come to mind. But I had to vote for Marshall. He's not flashy, but you can't deny the numbers he's put up. Bruin was my second choice.

Pretty good shout. He has the crap beat out of him every match, battles through injuries, keeps the back line organized, and quietly goes about doing his job at an incredibly high level.

I'd say yes. Usually there's just 1-2 players most people want to vote for.

This year is hard.

My first gut call was my boy Roldan.
But that first thought is quickly followed by a few other names, Dempsey, Lodeiro, Marshall, Svensson...
Then a few new names, Nouhou, Leerdam, Rodriguez.

Frei has been on point when not left out to dry.
Torres has been excellent. And should we acknowledge play since last years Jon Gyler (RIP) Memorial award? Talk about MLS Cup? Many of these players are eligible.

I enjoy coming to this late as I get a chance to see others answers and reasoning.
Bruin. Like most I did not expect more then say 5 goals. But he really stepped up and has delivered for us this season. Been a great guy off the field.

Again, very very hard year. So many worthy winners. And I'm trying very hard to not just list most of the guys who see minutes.

To vote for past winners or not. I think that is my real question.
:thinking face:

Shout outs to...Negale. If he can keep that up for a full season. MLS Golden Boot record would be crushed!

All of the above got Marshall my vote.

You too should vote for Marshall!

Can we choose them ALL? I have a reason or five to believe for each player. But I’m slowly finding myself tugged to attitudinal overcomer Dempsey. And yet I agree with every argument for all the others too. Tough to choose every year.... but this year seems even tougher.

Lamar because he is passionate about this club, charity and family. Although can we have two winners this year? Clint Dempsey needs to win too.
