ECS Around The World -- Photo Thread

General ECS talk.

Unread postby SuperBayern » Wed Jun 3, 2009 12:42:57 pm

This thread should be used to post photos of ECS presence around the world.

In Vienna, after the end of EURO 2008, I gave away some ECS scarfs to a bunch of my German friends:

In Budapest, at the Memento Park, full of lots of great Communist-era statues. The ECS breaks through the wall!

In Budapest, one man is quite desperate to get his hands on an ECS scarf:

In Prague, Lenin proudly shows his allegiance to the cause:

At a rural football pitch in Upper Franconia, Germany, having watched my TSV Harsdorf easily win the away match:

Nowhere of massive significance, but overseas, nevertheless.

Some ECS shots from our recent Euro trip! I played in the European Controllers Cup, an annual tournament for air traffic controllers. The only team (up to now) from North America that plays is Team New York, and I've gone with them 4 times over the past several years. Starting next year we have Team Seattle/Vancouver! Woohoo!

Oropesa del mar, Spain. This was the host city for the tourney; the finale was played here. Prague beat Reims, 2-0.

Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Looking back over the canal towards Centraal Station in Amsterdam, right next to the entrance to the infamous red light district. (ECS membership and scarf: $30. Round trip ticket to Amsterdam: $750. Having a wife who's cool with going through the red light district and checking out the women in the windows: Priceless!)

If only i had a scarf =(

and only if it was with me when i went to England/Denmark/Sweden.

We could pretty much get one of those online little program things you always see on myspace and shit and mark down where our scarfs have been (through pictures of course) lol

Damn, I was in Chile the last two weeks. I even had my scarf out to bring with me, but left both it AND my jacket in the car together. Wound up only having a sports coat for warmth.

ECS scarf - not just beautiful, but functional too!

Tell me about it. I guess it's EXACTLY the same size as him, though (he apparently stood next to it at an unveiling)!
