I heard kelly's is in 2a but with a different name, so you'll meet them at some point.

here are last season's final standings for D2A
CURRENT STANDINGS GP W L T GF GA PTS

KP Storm 10 10 0 0 30 8 30
B.D.P. FC 10 8 1 1 32 12 25
Binary FC 10 5 3 2 18 18 17
Sully's Arsenal 10 5 4 1 23 18 16
Far Post 10 5 5 0 27 20 15
Seattle Soccer Club 10 3 5 2 13 35 11
QFP United 10 2 4 4 23 23 10
Seattle Assault FC 10 2 6 2 24 27 8
Fuego FC II 10 2 7 1 11 20 7
Skillet FC 10 0 7 3 12 32 3

And for D1
CURRENT STANDINGS GP W L T GF GA PTS

Flying Hellfish 10 8 1 1 29 10 25
Fusion 10 8 1 1 25 10 25
Georgetown Merchants 10 6 1 3 25 12 21
Magic 10 5 4 1 20 17 16
Fuego FC 10 3 3 4 12 14 13
FK Bosna 10 4 5 1 16 19 13
FC Oranje 10 3 5 2 12 15 11
Team Rock 10 2 7 1 10 18 7
Valley FC 10 1 6 3 12 20 6
DAKINE Futbol Club 10 1 8 1 6 32 4

so it looks like Dakine came down from D1, but I don't see any other teams from last season's D1 in your division. POIDAWGS did not participate last season but they have played in this division before but also as low as 3B. there is a video of them from 2009 against WACAS, in division 2.

here's a more recent video from the seattle assault fb page- they finished mid-low in 2a last season, but aren't in your division this time around.

kelly's could be "Ballard Legends" in D1, but I heard they're playing in 2A so I'm not sure. also, I heard BDP isn't participating this season so you guys are lucky there.

yeah BDP has the triplets (jersey shore) who used to play for finn hill, along with 2 more of finn hill's (better) players. they're taking the season off because of the seahawks season, but I imagine some of their players will show up on different squads around the league.

the poidawgs clip vs wacas is their old team. they merged with a d3 team and the seattle assault clip is their current squad. pretty sure green has played them in the past in their current makeup.

fantastic win today lads. we did the business for sure. a bit of rust was evident all the way around but i felt we managed the game well and were solid defensively overall.

personally i was rubbish. i couldnt kick snow off of a rope today, but that will come with games under my belt. didnt realize thise was such a long layoff.....i was lucky that this team had no real cutting edge going forward. they whipped in some good crosses, but no one to make quality runs to get on the end of them, and besides one 1st time shot from distance, i dont think we allowed any shots other than weak headers that were right to me.

My only issue i had was that we really need to watch giving up free kicks within 30-40 yards of goal. today it didnt hurt us, but against teams with aerial threats (like Finn Hill for example) and quality servers we can be and will be punished for weak fouls. this refereee didnt help and the linesman on the far side was useless so we cant depend on them for calls/noncalls.

that being said, way to find a way to dig deep and battle for the three points. we kept our heads when they pushed for the equalizer and some quality counterattacks, kept them pinned back at the end.

Good game guys.

We didn't play all that well, but well enough to get that win and that's what counts. At the end of the day good teams win even when they are playing bad. We know we can play better and we will. The only thing that I felt kept them in the game was our mistakes. We had way too many easy turn overs were it looked like we were just playing pass with the other team.

In the second half when we finally started to settle down it looked good. We had a lot of chances, but need to work on finishing those chances as it could of easily been 3-0. The communication needs to be picked up as I could tell a big difference in out play the second half and a lot of that came from talking.

Overall we dug down and did what we had to and got the win. Lets take this momentum into next week.

Win 1-0
