I learned they talked mad shit about us in warm-ups. Had I been 100%, I probably would have sent at least one home with an ankle injury and an incentive to postpone renewing their GSSL card. Heads high though, gents and lady. There's plenty of good football yet to be had.

This team is a little bitter about when Blue beat them 6/7-0 a few season back when we ran all 3 of our GSSL women against them up front. They felt like that was an insult... smh. So honestly they have no place to talk.

Nothing worth stirring the bee hive over, but they were pretty yappy from the sideline the whole match. Dude was over there...let's say "questioning masculinity" over the amount of subs.

Honestly, if we had kept our heads at 1/2-0 we could have gotten back in it. I wasn't impressed by them for the most part.

Yes, I get it's weird to say that about a team that ran us out 5-0, but still.

I agree that the scoreline didn't reflect the differences in quality. I look forward to playing them again next season. They had some pretty amazing goals and we couldn't catch a break on a few of our opportunities. With more time together our possession and finishing will improve and we'll be in a lot of these games.

That was one of the last matches I played in GSSL for Blue. One of the most memorable routs I've been a part of on the winning side.

Ugh, still remember that goal. Worst fucking shut out to blow. 88th minute. Ball goes out for a corner after rolling for 40 yards. They take the corner, I punch it out, and it goes to their best player, and he ends up beating a couple players and takes a shot and scores.
