Nick, this is America, we don't have "proper football gear".

oh we do! ya just gotta know where to look!

What I am saying is that there is no culture around it here in regards to football..
As Jeff said, the ones that do wear this style to our matches generally brought it from other cultures.
It is either that, or are emulating what they have seen and read about the Casual style from overseas.

LOL! is that a serious question?

since the late 1960's...the original skinheads (and even then, the fashion came from the then declining 'Mod' subculture of England) brought proper terrace wear to football in the late 60's and the culture has taken off since then. the fashion came out of the Mod's but has transgressed through the skinheads, to the football casuals, the hooligans, and the ultras

Filed under: cause england did it.

Calm down im just givin you shit.

Hey, what are the fall trends for casuals? What are the "hot" colors for fall?

Casual clothing at the football looks much smarter. Even just a t-shirt and jeans with a nice pair of trainers looks better than someone wearing club merch.

Meh. I'm not there to look good. I'm there to support my club.

I try not to wear club jerseys or the other team's colors. The later is obvious, but I think there's something special about the people who have earned the right to put on the jersey on match day. That, and I don't think jerseys are very comfortable when we are jumping. 99% of my thought process when getting dressed involves whatever is most comfortable and clean. It is just not a big deal to me, and it's fascinating how it is to some (really it is). What I wear on match day is something I would wear any day of the week.

I wear casual clothing outside of the football as well. Like for parties and things I wear a nice polo shirt or shirt, jeans and shoes.

Fair enough mate, it's all down to personal preference in the end :)
Started this thread really to talk about new clothing purchases with others and that kind of thing but don't think anybodys really into it.
Oh well :P

People are into it. If you find something smart post it. Always fun to find good clobber on the cheap.
