Hey everyone,
I live in New Jersey and have been supporting the Sounders since 2011. I've gone to only 2 games, both at the Red Bulls Arena since I live 5 minutes away. All other games have been too far to get to.
I also got to meet the team and get some autographs / photos when they were staying at a hotel in Hoboken last year.

Anyways, both times I've sat front row dead center on the sidelines to get the best viewing experience.
This year I'm finally going to try sitting in the away section when they come to play NYCFC. I'll be compromising the views (Yankees Stadium sucks) but the experience of being around other sounders fans and getting to chant along for the very first time will be an experience I won't forget.

I really hope to see some of you there!

Fun Facts:
- The oldest jersey I own is a 2012 home jersey.
- I own a total of 6 jerseys now, one which is signed by about 12 players. My next one is likely to be a Morris jersey.
- I'm 19 years of age.
- I was born in Portugal
- Benfica is the other team I support (Yes Montero transferred to Sporting Lisbon, our rival team. Not good times.)
- Favorite goal scored by Sounders: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Xq1BPww174. Just Martins doing Martins things. Also +1 for keeper's reaction.
- Tacos

Hi & Welcome! It's funny you mention compromising views in away sections. At Yankee Stadium, at least the time we were there, they sat us along the 3rd base line, which ends up being close to center pitch. Glad you are planning to join the group there!

Hey and thanks!

That's interesting, was that a different section from what was written on your ticket?
I also know they changed the away supporters section from 223-224 to 217.
The new away supporter section has a view like this: http://prnt.sc/e44cj0

It isn't the worst, and I imagine the guys who travel have experienced worse. Still, a bit annoying.

Edit: this is the previous section view: http://prnt.sc/e44fgi
I prefer the previous section, shame its been moved into a corner farther from the center of the pitch. I think our group probably made more noise there than the whole of the NYCFC fans, which caused them to change sections.

It was the latter, yes. And, you're probably right that noise contributed. They put us right next to the Press Box, and evidently the fourth verse came through loud and clear. hahaha. oops.
