Davies got me thinking about USMNT guys coming to MLS for one reason or another. I'm curious, hypothetically, which (in the doghouse, coming back from injury, simple lack of minutes, young guy developing) USMNT player would you like to see in Seattle? Who would fill our needs? Who's needs could we fill?

Ya, Howard would be sweet but Hahnemann is more likely. To see any USMNT players, I would love to see Dempsey in a Sounders jersey (or Bradley or Jozy would be cool too).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the old MLS clubs that a lot of these players used to play for hold the rights to the player if they come back to the MLS to play?

He's on trial right now for the Chicago Fire but Gabriel Ferrari.

I'd rather Kenny Cooper was here than with the scum.

If a team sold them, they lose the rights.
If they left on a free, then they hold their rights for X amount of time I believe. Might be like 2 years. But it isn't indefinitely I believe.

Charlies Davies has made great improvements since his crash. Now he needs to stay away from friends who drink heavy and drive him.

Howard would be sweet. Cuz Everton is going places......Hahnemann is a local though...
Oh, and Altidore wouldn't be so bad...not that we are desperate for strikers...but Turkish league or 35,000 adoring Americans?
It would be nice to see Lichaj develop here

Gooch, of course. Gale Agba...

i like Spector and if the US had a left back not-named Bornstein i'd go for that as well. Cherundolo? probably not with Hannover sitting where they are in the table,

Lichaj would be intriguing also - perhaps he can play left back.

Michael Bradley.
I know we're sitting nicely on holding middies, but I like his Alonso-esque play style.

Of course we all want Tim Howard. I meant somebody that would actually benefit from coming here. Feilhaber, Torres, Beasley, Lichaj, or to a much lesser extent Adu. A Davies-esque guy. Somebody who's not getting playing time on their current club. Somebody who can't seem to jump to a bigger team/league. Somebody coming back from injury. Etc.

Do you really think Michael Bradley would be better off (professionally) here in Seattle than with Villa?

Essentially, who could improve their career by coming here?

Agreed - Bradley is better off where he is, I thought the question was who would I like to see in the MLS. Specifically on the Sounders.

Other than that, Lichaj just got loaned, so his playing time should increase. Isn't Beasley still starting for '04?

Other than that, most of our USMNT starters are starting.
