Was reading on BS that this was Pomona trying to lure Chivas USA to them. But Chivas USA isn't interested.

I was surprised on the blistering article from Soccer America. About time that a major soccer writer wrote this.

I like the idea of Chivas moving to San Antonio or Orlando.

Agreed- it's a crappy idea on paper, and has worked out to be a crappy idea in real life, too.

Either rebrand and build a new stadium in the LA area, or rebrand and move to a new city and get a stadium there- but either way, the whole "Chivas" identity really needs to go. It was a stupid idea from the get-go. I think Vergara is going to sell Chivas USA, anyway- perfect time to start anew.

That franchise is a freakin train wreck, and Vergara is only going further towards destroying it.

Amazing!

“He didn’t seem to have an idea what was happening,” Riley said Tuesday at D.C. United’s team hotel near Orlando.

Riley tried to explain he was leaving. Chelis pointed to a whiteboard with Riley’s name on it.

“I said: ‘It’s done. I’m on a flight in two hours.’ It was a bizarre situation. The [trade] seemed to come from above his head.”

You have to feel sorry for the coach and Riley.

I am not sure if I was more amazed by the way Chelis didn't know Riley was gone, or that Chelis doesn't speak English. Seriously? You're going to coach in MLS, in the United States, and you don't speak English?

Wow. I mean, wow. There's only so many international slots per team, ya know?

Wow, Bob Bradley is coaching the the Egyptian national team, and doesn't speak a lick of Arabic. How can you coach a national team and not know the language?
