MLS stated in their press conference that:

The team will NOT move out of LA
The team will be moving to a new stadium in a different area of LA, ideally closer to downtown
The team will be rebranding (they have to, they lose the rights to Chivas at the end of 2014)

With luck, they find an ownership group fairly early on in 2014.

LA has approximately 97 gojillion people, they can support it.

The Los Angeles Memorial whateveritscalled would be a good location to tear down and use.

Population means fuck all when it comes to attending sporting events.
Especially soccer.

To an extent. But you have to admit that there is a chance it could still work especially if you went to the other side of the city and One team stopped Alienating large groups of the population. Just getting away from the Mexican centric marketing could do wonders. I would like them to move, but it's not gonna happen.

I do with they'd move to San Diego, I'd rather visit there than LA. :P

That said, if you're in San Diego, you can pretty easily go to Xolos matches if you don't mind the border crossing.

San Diego sounds like a lost cause to me... it's Xolos territory now. MLS (or for that matter the lower leagues as well) were caught asleep at the switch.
