2013 MLS Tifo

Talk about MLS tifo or clubs here.

2013 season is about to begin, so discuss leaguewide tifo for the current season here.

Pics from lower leagues (NASL/USL/PDL etc) OK here as well.

Foreign stuff, leave that for the "best of tifo around the world" thread in the worldwide forum, please. Keep it USA/Canada based here, in other words.

Here is the Whitecaps tifo from the first game, which was done by the Curva Collective. Looks pretty decent.

Of course the Cascadia cup cannot be copyrighted, it isn't an original work! Why is it so difficult for people to differentiate between the two? I know it's Portland, but still...

Does anyone know if that the "Rain and shine" is part of the tifo, or just a rail banner? If that is part of the tifo, then that is kind of lazy.

Yes it was part of the tifo, which was pretty damn close to one NY did last year: [http://i.imgur.com/0GuaS4S.jpg

Here's one from ACB in LA:

Kinda meh on the Rain or Shine tifo (especially now that I've seen the NY one from last year), but it was at least well executed.

LA's looks pretty poor, but I know they have some severe restrictions to work with.

Loved the Cascadia tifo from PDX (although yeah, the Copyright vs Trademark thing bugs me a bit too)

Solid solid effort from Curva Collective. That's a choreo I'd be proud of if we'd put it up.

Wouldn't have expected it, but the choreo in Vancouver's home opener was better than in Portland. Good stuff.

I like the uniqueness of the use of umbrellas in the PDX tifo. I don't like that they used a trademarked image...really bad timing. I also think that reminding everyone how faithful you are as fans is a weird message to start the year. I love how the ECS and YVR tifos set the tone for the season with strong encouragement to the players.

I think the TA works hard at tifo, but I think they need help with message.

The TA has never had a very good understanding about what choreos are supposed to do in terms of message. :D

By the way, the use of umbrellas isn't exactly unique. Very common in Latin America.
