Awesome news!! So happy to see them finally get the ball rolling on this. Will certainly make things easier for the Green Brigade to do the business. Those chairs banged my knees up bad in 111.

Did I hear right that they're not selling any more tickets than they would normally for the new area? I would have thought you could fit 1.5 to 2 people standing for every person in a seated area.

How we doing guys came across this forum browsing about online and thought I would join up and keep you's updated on the scene at Celtic.

Safe standing has been a massive success at the club with a waiting list in the thousands. The Section holds 3000 with the green brigade controlling the front half of the section witch is ruffle 1000 witch maybe doesn't sound a lot but we've came from a block of 300 to a thousand witch is massive for us as a group.

A couple of videos of the new section and one from our game on Wednesday night away to Inverness.

Any questions ask away

The way Celtic built the section one seat is replaced buy one rail seat so the section had no impact on capacity.

There are systems that can increase the capacity but the club had to sell this to Glasgow city council as an "investment in spectator safety " as they put it so they opted for a like for like replacement.

The work that's went into getting this implemented was unreal from both the club and the group. Applications where knocked back 3 or 4 times so it's been a real battle.

Welcome to the forums.

Glad to see you've been able to work with your FO. For a while there, I was sure your safe standing section was going to be at the pub.

Thanks mate.

I assume your talking about a couple of years back when we where banned from 111 after an eventful Friday night game in Motherwell?

Since then the club have went out there way to build up a relationship with us they realised we weren't going away and us turning up and taking over random sections in the ground wasn't in anyone's interests they also received a bit of backlash from the wider support witch pressured them into allowing us back.
We still don't see eye to eye on a lot of issues pyro, rebel songs political displays etc But compared to a few years back when the club tried to ban us for "lateral movement" its night and day.

I would say our action against Hapoel Beer Sheva a few months ago is evadince of how far we have come in terms of backlash from the club.

We where warned buy UEFA and the club not to bring Palestine flags against the Israelis, police Scotland also threatened to arrest anyone carrying a Palestine flag at the game.

Naturally we ignored these warnings and filled our block with Palestine flags.

What came after that was special though anticipating the inevitable UEFA fine we launched a gofund me page with the hash tag match the fine for Palestine. Our intention was to match whatever UEFA fined the club and donate it to a couple of charities in Palestine.
The money we raised was nothing short of staggering £176.000 with Celtic only receiving a fine of around £8.000 so we matched it and some.

If we done a political action like this a few years back after warnings from UEFA the police and the club we would have been seriously punished.

That was a brilliant bit of charity work. It was awesome to see the negative reaction by UEFA turned into such a huge positive, especially given how your FO has responded to fines in the past.

The club weren't happy but they didn't say much due to the amount of press coverage talking positively about it.

We're at home to the Scum on Sunday there a shadow of there deed club with Celtic only dropping points once this season in a draw up in Inverness at the start of the year. 27 points separate us 8-)

You didn't give them any points at Ibrox, there's no need to hand them any at home.

Well the team let us down yesterday on the pitch drawing 1-1 with the filth.

The Green brigade had a small Corteo before the match along London road with good numbers in attendance.

At kick off we had our main tifo then at halftime a wee dig at them.

Happy wit the tifo personally think it's one over our better efforts.
The banner at halftime was inspired but the film trainspotting and it has the Huns / media in absolute meltdown so job done with that 8-)
