These photos from Zenit on Tuesday are amazing. Look at fifth one down where you actually see the size of people to the size of the banner. Wow!!

That bottom pic / banner from Lech is awesome.

So Zenit has Felix the cat as one of their ultras, nice touch!

Actually the newspaper thing has been very common in American university sports. It's usually been done when the opponent's starting squad is introduced.

First time I've seen it done abroad.

Once I get all my pictures uploaded I'll post a few shots I took at Stuttgart v Karlsruhe. Stuttgart put up some sweet tifo at the beginning.

I'm jealous, would have loved to have gone to that game. Always a great Derby between those two clubs, and often it pulls the best out of the supporters there as well. (although sometimes also the worst)

Some things you should know about Zenit though, they are oil mafia sponsored by Gazprom so all their tifo displays are fully funded and they kind of have the ability to do what they want. The other thing, is they are racist. Zenit was about to sign an african american player and they stormed the FO offices and burnt some shit up. Can't take away their passion though, to organize a display like that.

The bolded parts describe lots of Russian Premier League team. They are not nice characters, no.

well not all of them are oil mafia, but zenit is because of gazprom. Sorry to be all technical, but your right there are a fair share of them that have some sort of mafia relations.
