Napoli and Fiorentina played the Coppa Italia final in Roma on Saturday. Before the match, there was a lot of violence between the ultras of Napoli and Roma.

When the Ultras Napoli didn't want the match started, Napoli's captain Marek Hamsik went onto the field while all the other players were in the tunnel and pleaded with the head capo to allow the match to begin. The head capo was banned from all stadiums for 5 years because of the shirt he was wearing during this conversation.

Several of my friends and coworkers in Napoli know both Ciro and Genny. Very bad times for Napoli supporters, I fear the punishment of the group will be very bad.

We are very lucky politics don't run as deep in our sports as it does there...would be a mess indeed with all the competing agendas not to mention religious backed issues that could push this way or that.
