February Practices

ECS Football Club

Unread postby Skarpian » Thu Jan 10, 2013 3:08:41 pm

Hey guys,

We have reserved field in February for practices. If these are successful we will continue with them in the future. Success will be judged by how many of you attend. We are spending the clubs money to rent these fields and I do not want it to go to waste.

These practices will not be required. That being said if your team mates are getting out to training and improving and you are not please do not be surprised if others start bypassing you on the roster. I know many people play on other teams and some of those games fall on the scheduled times and all that I ask is that you RSVP with that info so that your coaches know that you are still training.

We will have the fields from 6:30-8. I am asking everyone to show up and be booted and ready to go by 6:15. This will allow us to warm up and be ready to use the field for drills and scrimmages as soon as our time slot is open.

We have the following time slots in February. These have been put into FC Manager please RSVP as soon as you know your availability. The more accurate numbers we have for practices the better we can plan out and design successful practices.

Feb 6 (Wed)
Delridge North @ 6:30-8:00

Feb 13 (Wed)
Delridge South @ 6:30-8:00

Feb 20 (Wed)
Delridge North @ 6:30-8:00

Feb 27 (Wed)
Delridge South @ 6:30-8:00

If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks!

Are White players welcome, or is this just for GSSL? (I would understand if so)

Or even non FC players that just need some fitness and can stay out of the way of the training if requested?

As of today it is intended for the GSSL teams. With that being said this is a trail run. We are going to see what works and what doesn't. If every GSSL player showed up the field will be packed. This will most likely not happen.

After we determine numbers I will be able to better gauge how many we can let join. Obiously our other teams will be the first ones invited out.

Another hard thing about running a training session that cover a wide range of skills is keeping everyone interested and everyone safe. And the big kicker having enough coaches on site to manage it all.

There a possiblility that some days we only have enough numbers to use up half the field and maybe open the other half for a kick around. We have to play it all session by session at this time though.

We will do our best to include as many people as possible, but you will have to understand it will take us time to work out all the details.

Thanks for you interst and stay tuned!

Hey guys,

Well numbers are really lite so I'm opening the field up to anyone. I've also offered up for Pub League to come out and do some Pre-Season training (See Pub League Forum).

I will still be working with the ECS Team players most of the time, but there will be plenty of field for everyone to use.

Hope to see everyone out there.
