Martinez has been giving great corners. Scott already with two great chances to score from those.

saw Parke was replaced by Burch. anyone notice a problem with him or think it's just a precaution?

Joshua Mayers tweeted that word from the team is that there was no problem with Parke.

My guess is that he will play 90 minutes against LA, and therefore the plan was all along that he wouldn't play 90 minutes today unless necessary.

I don't see how Martinez cannot start against L.A. Put the ball into a lot of dangerous spots.

Martinez was delivering arguably the best corners I've seen of any Sounder all season.

Hard to judge the rest of his match given relatively poor play (but still much better than the Marathon reserves) in the rest of the field.

Our reserves are worlds ahead of their reserves, so uh, there is that?

I may be mistaken, but I think I heard Nuthatch's melodic singing on the broadcast.

I wish...unfortunately I could not be there tonight. But now I'm curious to see who this was!

Three goals against a club like Marathon? I will take that any day. Way to go Sounders! Thanks to you that posted the link. I had to get up at 0600 to watch the match but it was worth it.

One of the announcers mentioned it was the same lineup from the first leg. Can't verify since I'm on my phone.

Marathon yesterday: Mendoza, Castro, Arzu, Sabillon, Meza, Mayorquin, Acevedo, Berrios, Altamirano, Vega, Brown.

Marathon in the first meeting: Mendoza; Sabillon, Castro, Martinez, Berrios, Sandoval, Acevedo, Mayorquin, Rapalo Brown, Diamond

In other words 7 of the same starters, 4 different ones. Diamond was on the bench yesterday, 3 of the starters from the first meeting did not make the trip for yesterday's match.

So maybe an exaggeration to call it a reserves team. Marathon just isn't very good. Not to take anything away from the Sounders, but we got ourselves an easy group in this year's CCL.

The plan going into the match was to give each of them 45 minutes, no problems. He's going again on Sunday after all.

Estrada was MOTM for me. He was everywhere, helped on defense like a rabid animal, cool dummy, decent goal, etc. Solid performance from Martinez; there were some instances where I felt he should have gotten rid of the ball sooner, but understandable considering he's trying to stand out to Sigi (earlier tweets).

Great to see Zakuani & Estrada improving every match they get.

Thanks to all who came out for the march (even with small numbers we sounded great) and the match. I always have fun at CCL matches.
