If we win, we are 3rd in the overall standings. We need the win badly imo.
I want to be in the next CCL and a win tomorrow helps us out quite a bit.

That way, if we don't make it to MLS Cup ourselves, we are still in the next CCL if SKC or San Jose make it to MLS Cup.

MLS cup comes with a CCL spot. Your argument is invalid.

If I'm thinking straight, a tie would leave us 5th overall, behind DC (1 point) and NY (goals scored). Obviously, if that were to happen, we would then have to reach the MLS Cup final to get into CCL. It would put us back ahead of RSL, though.

I'd love to think that LA won't care too much about this game and give us an easy ride. But given what we've done against them so far this season, I doubt that will happen.

A CCL berth also comes with huge salary cap implications, so not getting one might prevent us from keeping the team together, which could have a huge effect on our ability to win the MLS Cup next year and beyond.

Besides, i hate the idea of not trying to win what we can win now because of fearing am injury. Sure, rest anybody win already has am injury that might get aggravated. But resting healthy key payers? No thanks, we hate a lot to win in this one. it would of course be different if the playoff match was coming to us very quickly, but luckily we avoided the pity round.

Plus you want everyone coming in firing on all cylinders.

I have seen where our team and players come in to games a little rusty after having not played a game in nearly two weeks.

Make some subs to key players in the 2nd half. But no reason to not start most of the ideal starting lineup.

And one more point, a win tonight would give us home field against all but one team in the East if we happen to reach MLS Cup.

That is a nice incentive.

I found one more:

A full Galaxy sweep this year. The bonus is if we hold them scoreless tonight giving them 3 goose eggs against us. :)

I agree with Finn. I hate the idea of sitting top players to avoid injury. Instead, they sit and we end up having a player out of form because they haven't played a meaningful game in two weeks.
