In the realm of people who miss Fredy Montero, that's probably the strongest argument I've heard. We don't have anybody that's going to scare you on a free kick just outside the box.

martinez can crack the ball.

but I do miss montero's desire to shoot from anywhere. that we have definitely lost.

Yes, last night vs Corinthians he shot from like 30yds out and got an unlucky bounce off the crossbar. Can't score if you don't shoot.

And particularly to be reasonably dangerous with it. Ozzie will let it fly from distance, but 9 times out of 10 it's a sky ball.

A thought about Shalrie, should he take more long-range shots? It seems that he had a few opportunities to take the long-range shot in the second half but didn't.

Also, what do people think of this?

Pretty much this. Nothing more needs to be said.

Also, S@H had a very good writeup on this issue and the histronics surrounding it: http://www.sounderatheart.com/2013/4/3/ ... ulez-gomez

Also: No one likes us, we still don't care.

Jesus NBC too? Score on aurora, fine. Footballs shit all day and night? That's cool. Wait, you called a guy that played for you for 2 months 10 years ago a reject? Outrageous! How could you ecs? How could you?! Now tell me more about that drunk guy that endangers people's lives.

Sometimes I hate this countries sensitivity. So many worse things an SG could have done/said against a Mexican side. Keep in mind if Gomez didn't play for the national team, or if he wasn't an ex sounder, this would be a non story.

Well yea... he wouldn't be a Sounders reject if he hadn't actually played for us. He would just be another player... :D
