Hurtado for Scott? If we can't stop this destruction of our back line, it will be 3-0 before we know it. Especially if we continue this inability to finish.

I actually believed another goal was out there for us. If Slochoa would have found the back of the net, I would have ordered my Sammy jersey on the spot.

How many MLS teams can do what we did these last few CONCACAF matches?

Now that the game has been over for a couple of hours, my opinion still hasn't changed. We had some great chances, and we blew them. This isn't because we suck. This is because we're an MLS team. I feel like Santos was sand bagging. Watching them, it felt like they were just taking their time, and just wasting time. Passing along the back line, until we showed some pressure, and then moving the ball forward to a midfielder who would drop into the hole who then had all day to turn and find someone.

Honestly, I feel as a whole we're a better team then last year. Don't get me wrong, we're going to miss Tiffert and Montero heavily.

We need someone to play more of a CAM role now that Fredy is gone, and can't rely on crosses all game long. We need possession through the middle and accurate through balls to take advantage of Oba and EJ's skill set. Hopefully Shalrie can slot more into that CAM role.

Joseph's through balls are impressing me thus far. We're a much better team with him on the field if the last couple matches are any indication.

I've never seen such horrible finishing in my entire life as i have from this team this year. All else is irrelevant if we can't score simple motherfucking tap in goals! Who cares about the backline, the midfield, Sigi, and everything else that is wrong with this team. You don't score, you don't win, no matter how good you might be everywhere else. It's fucking embarassing watching us in front of goal. And it's not just our forwards, it's the whole damn team. It's fucking pathetic.

Is our 4th choice CB, so your point? And at the end of the day he's a serviceable 4th option for what we pay him.

Someone seriously needs to sit these boys down and talk about finishing. I was really disappointed that zak couldn't put one away.

He's a massive turd in the punch bowl, 4th choice or not.

I agree that he is a liability at this level.
That said, the forwards and midfielders lack of finishing cost us just as much as anything Zach did in this match.

I'd actually say they cost us far more. Defensively we weren't atrocious (yes, even Scott).
We created plenty of chances, some that should've been gimmies. We could've easily been up 2-0 before Scott conceded that freekick that led to their goal.

For a 4th string CB? Scott is fine, not the best player on the planet for sure, but fine for what he is.

Our starting forwards, on the other hand, have a problem.

i will say that we need to play like this every game now.

dont get why hurtado is still in doghouse.

zakuani needs considerable tmie on the bench to decide what he wants to be. piss poor match (and before you all retaliate: having close chances does not mean you played well-3 GIFTS that were squandered by zakuani).

joseph in the middle excites me.

caskey does not.

sigi mystifies me with his subs. would like to see neagle our there on the left now.

imagine this game with obafemi martins in it.
