30 good minutes from sounders. obtuse but defensive subs from sigi. joseph and ozzie are gelling very well. posession beasts you can see they like to play together. neagle works hard. wish rosales would come back to himself. he needs to be placed consistently in the same position and not moved around by sigi. you can tell its killing his game.

i understand the lack of martinez sub in this game. It was to get a more solid lineup that was more defensive minded.

not sure if the last 20-25 minutes we got gassed by the altitude or what... game looked really in control most of the first half.

very lucky to have not conceded last 20 minutes... rapids must have tried on our finishing boots!

Still, ugly as it was, a win is a win is 3 points that we badly needed. Will need much improvement to get something out of the philly game.

Such a mixed match. Most of the team had periods of time where there'd be completely awful "passes" and miscommunication; we are lucky CO didn't capitalize more.

Oba didn't have a great match, he's still gelling in with us and that needs a lot more work - but I'm happy he got the net. Honey-Dreads still work great together in the middle and Evans is still underrated in my book. He hustles on offense & defense and becomes an integral part of many plays. Yedlin is still an ace in the hand - those runs are filthy. Even if the LB grabs him, it'll open up the opponent's back line for better play creation in the middle. As long as EJ/Oba aren't starting together, put Neagle up there. He's a menace. Just his hustle really changed the game on their possession and crippled their midfield build-up often.

A bye week is just what we need. Rest/heal the injuries and finally start getting chemistry up top. I really miss EJ and am praying that Mauro gets out of this "funk". If one of the 2 happens by 5/4, I'll be confident in another W.

This bye week is coming at a perfect time. Our problems are becoming less injury related and more needing cohesiveness. A couple weeks of training should go a long way.

I'm really liking what I'm starting to see from our team to be honest. Its not quite there yet, but I still think this is going to be a very scary side once it finally gels. I just hope that happens in time to get us into the playoffs. heh

I hate when Sigi decides around 70' to pack it in and bunker. We always either concede that tying goal or come damn close to it. As soon as we switch to that we look shit.

Considering who those two players are and the roles they play, I disagree.

Chemistry seems to be one of our bigger obstacles right now.
Especially in the final third of the field.
How many times have we heard that they have not "gelled" yet?

Having the full team together in preseason would have only helped us.
