YES :D What a result, especially considering it's a Cascadia Cup match, makes the victory that much better.

Wow, what a match. I don''t think we would've stood a chance without Oba.

Agreed. He was involved in some way or another with all three scoring plays, as well as some last-minute defense at the death.

Also, he's integrating with the team rapidly now. Some of the combination play we're starting to see from him is spectacular.

In his first interview (when he flew in for the Portland home match), all he said was basically, "I just want to play".

Turns out, he meant it. He seemed just as happy to get the assist for Neagle, or celebrate Servando's PK conversion as he was goals he's scored.

I'm liking Oba more and more every match.

To my recollection, I think I liked what I saw out of Oba and Burch the most (we looked so much better with him attacking on the left than without). Gonna have to rewatch the match and take a closer look, though.

Rewatching the match from last night, easily one of our best so far this season. My favorite part is after the 2nd and 3rd goals chanting the "It's all gone Quite over there!" And the Commentators then poking some fun at the Whitecaps fans.

Some other notes to take away, that we can win without the names of Johnson, Evans and Alonso even with how important they are for the team, we can finds ways to FIGHT and WIN!

Also with our environment we got compared to a European Football match! Good work boys!

What a match! I couldn't believe how fast they looked out there and how they owned possesion all match. yedlin is going to do great things for the US U-20 team. I just hope he comes back to us and doesn't get snapped up by a Euro franchise that has more cash.

You all sounded awesome on TV last night! Every single song and chant came through crystal clear on the television. Oh by the way, when did the flame towers get installed? I don't think I ever saw those before.

Ollie, thanks for the link. I watched on TV but my friends overseas used what you put down. How do you all find those things? All I ever get is porn ads and malware.

I also noted Arlo's comments about the Cascadia Cup. It was started and run by the supporter's groups long before the teams were in MLS

Well... if you had told me we'd concede two awful goals with what we had to put out there in MF, I'd have put money down that we'd get no points out of this.

If you had told me a while back that we'd have goal scorers Rose, Carrasco and Neagle in a derby, I'd have said you're nuts.

Have to say, the boys showed some guts coming back from 2-1 down having been sucker punched... this lot could have put their heads down but they found a way to get it done.

Burch may have been a surprising option, but Caskey really hasn't been getting anything done and things changed much for the better after he came on. Might have to consider Burch ahead of Caskey should the situation call for it again with missing MF numbers.

For me, atmosphere was OK, but not to our complete potential. We were on our game better for Dallas than last night, although the second half was better... a bit flat in the first half. Still think Vancouver doesn't register as as big a rival as they should amongst too many people. Their organized support is getting better, and it should be a warning shot across our bow that everyone needs to put the passion into it that they do for PDX games.

The NBC sound tech was installing a mic on the middle-back post of the Brougham End goal about an hour before the match. He accidentally had it pointed to the west side after he'd taped the stand up. The early birds in the front row pointed it out. He pulled the top tape off and aimed it back at us - pretty much right at the drum in 122.

Plus it didn't hurt that the boom cam was dead on us when we went into the second chorus of "Its all gone quiet over there." The director didn't feature us much... but he got that little piece of rivalry drama right on; sound and audio in sync with the action!

Yea... not sure what to make of that. They're cool, but it seems a lot like a scene from Idiocrisy, like we're watching 'rehabilitation'.
