Never having been to the stadium... what's the parking situation like? Will I be able to park on-site (north lot or parking garage?) early and foot it up to one of the bars for prefunk? Better options around?
Is there any major differences on the prefunk venues? A certain crowd at each?

Just a first-timer trying to optimize my match day experience :)

How much money do you want to spend? =)

The lots around the stadium range from $25-$40 during Sounders matches. If you go a little ways up the hill (not sure on specific streets, maybe somebody can chime in), you can find street parking. Particularly if you can show up around 4:15 or so when you can pay for the full 2 hours up until 6:00 and not have to worry about it.

For Prefunk:
Merchants is La Barra Fuerza Verde
Fuel and Temple are definitely different crowds, but I don't really have a good way to articulate how. Just go to all 3! =)

Be wary on this one - Seattle downtown has paid parking until 8pm in a lot of areas so read the signs to make sure you don't get a ticket.

Yeah, that's a valid point, but Pioneer Square and the stadium area is mostly 6pm. (I think Yesler and South is all 6pm)

I usually park on 5th and Washington -- there are two lots there that are only $10.

If, for some reason, you need to be reminded - get up for this match. The quickest way for both us and the boys to forget about that dumpster fire Saturday is to get behind these guys Wednesday. You know what to do.

Is the stadium opened up for this one? I don't remember if it was or if that was just the L.A. match left where it's opened up.

Indeed. I'm planning on annoying my colleagues all afternoon before leaving to head down to fuel. Extremely excited for hopefully seeing the boys lock down the CC on Wednesday.

Nope, just LA left for a full stadium.

Nope, just LA left for a full stadium.

Whats the thought process behind not opening it up?

Scarcity of demand. Less seats available make it a requirement to be a season ticket holder, which makes for a good looking stadium on game day and predictable revenue for the FO. There's been many threads on this elsewhere if you are curious on others opinions.

They like the sorta-scarcity of tickets for most matches I think. Beyond that, they seem to be increasing the full stadium matches by 1 per year right now. We'll see if they do 5 next season.

(Also, Wednesday match would be a hard sell I think)
