What to expect vs. Xolos?

Everything match specific.

I keep hearing that the international friendlies are a bit more subdued vs. regular season play. I have a few friends in town who I will be taking to their first game. Will the crowd be as big and energetic as it usually is?

Energetic, yes. Big, probably not...expect lower GA to be mostly concentrated to 122.

I find the north american friendlies to be far more enjoyable then the south american and euro friendlies. Mexican clubs especially seem to take it pretty seriously for a meaningless match.

what little I could see from the xolos stream online, section looked pretty lively in 2nd half... crowd may not have filled in until later because of the horrible traffic situation on 99 that pretty much literally stopped traffic for hours coming from the north.

Heard there was even some smoke popped in 124/125 :D

Yes Eric, it took a while to fill in, at kick it was maybe half full. For a friendly it was the perfect result I think, a 4 goal draw with no injuries! I did like that even though it was a friendly the crowd got into it when we were down, no one likes to lose
