Tickets are no longer available via ECS for this trip, but the trip page is below

Never to early to get in... I just booked the same-day smash-and-grab flights on Alaska.

$289.80 was the fare, but I had flight credit from a previously cancelled flight that I would have had to use up at some point.. and why not on a simple itinerary for a stadium I've never been to.

But I have no interest in exploring SLC, hence the same-day turnaround :)

I expect fares will drop a bit, probably not much below $230 though in my experience for SEA-SLC.

Airfare is down to $198 on Alaska for same-day flights. $218 on Delta for Fri-Sun.

Looks like I'll be in for this one...parents driving back home to Arizona so I may as well hitch a ride down with them. Anything to do in SLC? Flown through and driven through but that's about it. I hear them Mormons LOVE to party!

I may be able to go to this, and I want to stay a couple of days.

Any recommendations on good accommodations? I don't drive, so it can't be anything where it'd require a rental car.

I'm thinking of a nice bed and breakfast. Thanks!

Bit of a bummer that the match time moved... 12:30pm MT.

You can fly in on Friday night and fly out Saturday if you're doing the smash-and-grab on Alaska for $278. Or you can stay as long as Thu-Monday if you like for the same price.

Is there anything set up for lodging like there has been in the past?

Are we allowed to bring a flag into Rio Tinto? Also, any plans for meeting up Friday night and/or Saturday morning?

What size flag and pole did you want to bring? You would be required to enter early with the tifo crew, as all exempted items are checked in together. If this is amenable to you, the monkeys are happy to work on an exemption for it.

We generally don't plan something official for Friday nights, but keep an eye on this thread, and something will probably develop. There will be a pre-funk. More details will come out the week of the trip.
