Yep, forgot about craps having to travel back on Friday. They'd barely have a day to train before having to face us in first leg

I looked at potential flights to Dallas plus close by cities served by Alaska Airlines (incl. flying into Houston, San Antonio and Austin) and it looks like $700 per ticket.. cheers

There is a direct flight on Alaska from Seattle to DFW on 11/2 and return Flight also direct on 11/3 for $488 that is cheapest I have seen or if using Alaska miles is 40,000 miles currently. Thank goodness for all my prior away travel this year as I was able to use 25, 000 miles on Delta to reserve flights for 24 hrs for same dates for all of $25.00 but they are not direct flights. Since Alaska and Delta are partners and same Delta flights with miles will total 25,000 Alaska miles. All this said hoping in 24hrs I can cancel and we go to Vancouver.

There's a highway system that accomodates motor vehicles that'll get you there in 30 hours.

Sounders @ FCD tickets for Sunday 11/2 available now! $20+$1.25 printing fee.
Code: SOUNDERS
https://oss.ticketmaster.com/html/go.ht ... 119&g=2381

Due to short turnaround, we're going via FCD TM link. We've always previously absorbed the ticketing fee into our prices. No change.

Dallas is one of those places i think it's even safe to purchase a walk-up ticket. I mean, they barely broke 10,000 fans tonight...

For those of you who have traveled previously or are going do you have a preferred hotel or location to book hotel reservations? In Frisco, in Plano or in Dallas? Looking at hotels will be flying in with rental car so just trying to get an idea.

Anyone who wants to caravan... The Kreczkoak#suckitblakeley lorry is leaving downtown around 1230 Friday. We are going to drive to south eastern Idaho or so and sleep Friday night. Then we drive to Fort Collins, CO to pick up Woody, then keep driving, sleep in Amarillo texas Saturday night (BONUS HOUR OF SLEEP! THANKS DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!!) then we drive to Frisco, get there about 5. Match at 8. Over at 945. On the road back at about 10 (which is 8p PST) ball it straight back, home at 2 or 3 am Tuesday morning to be back at work at 7!

This is not recommended.

Dallas is seeing a high volume of sales for this event. AND, Dallas has an awful reputation for dealing with away fans. Buy in our section, or don't go. That is my official advice as head travel monkey. Keep your head on swivel and your camera phone at the ready. That place is shit-show, and I'm talking about the security staff.

I stayed at Aloft Frisco when I was there for the match this spring. It was nice and inexpensive and about a five or ten minute drive from the stadium.

THIS.

If there's room to do so, I would move the group over from the aisleway after the match is over just to avoid the types of problems that the TA had when they were down there recently.

Also, be aware that the away section is quite near by one of the FCD supporter groups (El Matador). TA had some flags and scarves jacked when they were down there, so tie your rags when out and about (before, during and after the match) and don't display anything you're not going to fight to the death to keep from being jacked. I noticed that Vancouver fans hung a bunch of stuff on the railing many rows below them... I would advise NOT doing this because it's easy to get your gear jacked when you're not the ones directly in proximity to it.
