I'm considering.

Round trip flights are ~$350 and Airbnb has some places that sleep up to 4 in the $120-$175 range for a night on the 21st.

Could be a fun mid-winter warmup.

We won't end up doing anything official travel monkey-wise, but I'm happy to help coordinate a few things. I've already been in touch with a handful of people interested in heading down and have a contact with FC Tucson. Initially, I'm looking at 2/21-3/1 AK Air (using miles) to catch three matches in the week.

I'm considering the weekend of 2/14. Any word on the training schedule for the team? Will they be down there by then?

mlspreseason.com has friendly/desert diamond cup schedules, not team training schedules. I'm curious if anyone has heard yet when the team plans on being in Casa Grande this year.

I've sent a message to the club inquiring about the training schedule and will post any relevant information I get back.

Anyone who goes, Mi Nidito is a must-stop if you like Mexican food. Best Mexican I've ever had.

Absolutely. No one from the PNW will be able to properly appreciate it I'm afraid. El Guelo Canelo is great too for sonoran dogs.

I agree. I was born and raised in Tucson and while Mi Nidito is great I would more so recommend El Guero Canelo to people from the PNW who have never experienced a Sonoran Dog.

Me and my dad will be down there for baseball spring training, and I convinced him to do the match on the 28th. Please post pre funk location so we can join up with you folks. On Facebook, Valley of the Sound is the ECS branch for that area follow up with them to see what they are doing.

Have a layover in San Diego this morning before flying over to Tucson. Anybody meeting up before the game on Wednesday?
