Keep an eye on the Heartland Horde FB page. We may get a small block of rooms at a reduced rate at a nearby hotel.

The hotels in the near vicinity are booking up really quick. That means that they are reluctant to give discounts. My wife works for one of the hotels and we can't even get the employee rate at the moment. It's not looking like there is going to be much of a discount to be had. That also means a blocked section of rooms. In the hotel industry, when demand goes up, so do prices.

I'll try again as the dates get nearer, but I can't promise anything.

Evening all ... I've already posted over on the FB side, but I figured I'd dig in here, as well. As part of a "thank you" from one of my wife's coworkers, I was gifted a pair of tickets to Sounders/SKC! Now the seats are in Section 131, however, I (at least) will be hanging with the Horde. :)
So, I am down, and will be there ... and we will probably join up on the tailgate as well (still working out all the details), driving down day of game from Des Moines, IA.
Can't wait!!

Is there a limit on the amount of tickets that we can buy?

Nope. There is no qty restriction for purchases.

I've gone to 3 Sounders' games with ECS - a couple in Seattle and the last one in Columbus. After Columbus I decided to officially join ECS and the Heartland Horde and am about to buy my ticket to the Kansas City game (will travel from Dayton, OH). Before I buy my game ticket and possible tailgate ticket, what is the plan for the tailgate? How many people are you expecting?

Thanks, Jim! Great meeting you and glad you had such a good time. Right now our numbers are a bit below Columbus, but continuing to get better and likely will as we get closer to the match. We will be catering BBQ for the tailgate, so you can't miss out!

Welcome to ECS and HH, Jim! Joel has your questions pretty well covered.

Right now we're at ~50 tix sold. I don't expect that count to grow much at this point. But just in the case the purchase deadline has been extended to Monday, May 25th. I had it extended a few days in case there's any last-minute stragglers who have a May 22nd payday.

I look fwd to meeting you in KC.

4 tix purchased! I'll be bringing 3 of my soccer-loving cousins with me. I was at the Open Cup final in KC in 2012. We're still taking vengeance from that as far as I'm concerned. Stupid Salazar. See you guys down there!
