Booked our trip. Couldn't do the package since it had to be over two nights. So I had to book the Home2Suites. Last time we stayed at a Home2Suites was in Philly for the Open Cup. That one turned out pretty well. Hoping for a repeat.

Tickets will be sent with Monkey Mail most likely 3 days prior to the match.

Do FC Dallas still ban any show of support (flags, drums, etc.) in the away section, or has that nonsense been fixed?

Feel like bringing some One Guy for a displaced Lubbockito? (I'll actually be in the 806 the following weekend.)

Pro tip on Hard Eight: if you're getting BBQ, go for lunch. Unfortunately the dinner meats tend to be a little drier than what they serve at lunch. They cook the pork chop to order, so it's fine whenever.

Question: does it make sense to just Uber/taxi where we want to go ($35-$50 from airport to hotel, $20-$30 from hotel to stadium and back), rather than paying for a car to sit around most of the weekend? Or because Texas, will we be driving everywhere anyway?

In regards to rentals, I did a quick check and saw that you can rent a Zipcar from the Budget lot at the airport, and it would be $175 with gas and insurance included for all three days, which also seems like a pretty ok deal.

Any seasoned travelers have thoughts on these options?

Think you can get a better rental car deal. I think we got ours for $25 a day. Will check when get home. Also they do have a rail system called DART can use it to get from airport to Plano but have not delved into how long it takes.
