Royals play the Rangers the Friday and Saturday before our match on Sunday, could be a cool group outing before we go mental on Sunday.

The Heartland Horde is going to be there. This is our big game of the year, most of us will be there.

I'm in for this one (en route to Pittsburgh for family/Mariners later in the week). Look forward to lending a voice yet again!

Anyone looking to do something Saturday in town? Looked at Royals tickets while I am not opposed they are much more expensive than I anticipated.

If no Royals game, on Saturday night check out Power & Light downtown, Westport, or the Plaza for the better nightlife areas. If you want to go farther South to the Waldo area, that's good, too. Daytime stuff check out the Negro Leagues museum, Jazz museum, and WW1 museum. I hopefully will be in by Saturday evening, depending on when my conference in Chicago ends. Will likely be hanging out post-match in KC.

I was going to definitely recommend checking out the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum (18th & Vine district) if you have anything resembling a baseball fan in you. I'm hoping to get back there, but I already have a full load and doubt I'll be able to get there.

Bonus recommendation for the Liberty Memorial and WWI museum.

It's one of the places. Certainly a number of bars w/ open container inbetween. Better if an event going on down there that weekend, which I haven't looked if there is. Westport and Country Club Plaza also a good night life. Waldo does pretty well, also.
