I'll be there for a business trip so I'm definitely going to support our boys! Would love to kick it with fellow ECS members.

I'm now living in Fort Lauderdale (long story) and will be driving up for the game. If by off chance anyone else from SoFlo is reading this and wants to carpool, lets make it happen. I was planning on spending the night, but don't have to. Wife may or may not want to come with.

Looking forward to finally seeing the Sounders in person. I moved to South Florida in 2002, this is a long time coming.

Question. I am bring my wife (not a big sports fan) and my 3 year old to the game.
Is the ECS section the only "away fans" section? I love the idea of sitting with others in rave green, but not sure ECS section is ideal for us.

Thoughts? Recommendations (besides leaving the family at home)?

It will be the only official designated away section.

I believe that we will sell a large number of tickets to the match and while the first few rows of the section aren't probably ideal for you, the entire section will be treated as general admission and you can find a nice comfy spot near the back of the section. Participation is still the expectation, but if your wife or 3 year old just sang watermelon for 90 minutes I'm not sure anyone would mind :) Looking forward to having you join us, it's been too long!

We'll have our conference call with the Orlando FO first part of next week (Monday 8/1) and have details posted immediately after that. Stay tuned. Any questions you have, post here or feel free to PM me. Get your match tickets now while they're still in the store!

anyone looking for affordable hotel in a fun area...
The Buena Vista Palace has rooms starting at $89/night. This is across the street from Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs). So, if you're in town for more than just the game, you'll have plenty to do.
The drive to the stadium is at least 30 minutes, but, worthwhile if you want to do "Disney things."

Who would be up for a Saturday evening meet and great at an Orlando area bar? I'm starting to look for a location, so if anyone knows of some recommendations, now's your chance! (I have a small list of those NOT to go to)

Trying to find that now. They're not super quick to respond, main ticket rep is out of the office and they're three hours ahead of us. We've got a pretty good size crew going with time to sell more. I anticipate having a very concise email posted Monday afternoon after our Supporters Call with the Orlando FO.

I want to avoid trip information splattered throughout a thread as best as possible, but still need to get you info in a timely manner. All information will be included in Monday afternoon's post. That said..... parking info..... Lot 6 opens at 3pm EST, gravel lot with a porta potti, $20 per car and we'll put together a no host tailgate (more info on that later), there is no shade in this area of the lot.... we're looking to put together a Saturday evening meet and greet about 8, it's going to be hot. Right now it is 93 and said to feel like 100. Prediction currently for 8/7 is 94 with scattered thunderstorms. It's going to be hot.
