Just saying, there is a possibility that you will be much happier with your life choices if you have your EDL or passport than if you don't. These things take time. Plan ahead.

do people usually fly into Buffalo and drive across since it's only 2 hours and you wouldn't need a passport then just EDL?

Really depends on flight costs and airline loyalty. Going up to YVR AND flying over to Toronto also works.

I grew up in Buffalo, and my family still lives there. I consider Toronto my home away from home, you can get there from the airport in 90 minutes on the QEW.

I suspect flights will be cheapest to Buffalo (though you might also be able to fly into Rochester if you don't mind an extra hour of driving).

Looks like a connection, though, with a few exceptions, right?

Always a connection, best case is a Chicago layover for minimal out of the way time.

But Chicago time, haha. Yeah, that would be an ideal stop.

Can I fly out of Vancouver to say maybe somewhere like Toronto if I wanted with Enhanced ID since I'm not changing countries? all the answers I find say:

"Two (2) pieces of valid government-issued non-photo identification with matching names, as long as at least one piece also includes the date of birth and gender; or
One (1) piece of valid government-issued identification with photo showing the name, date of birth and gender."

people say yes online but I don't know those people... Has anyone done this? I hate to rush a passport if I don't need to... ( yes I know i would have to this week for it be here in case I need it)

Not *always* a connection. Air Canada flies a nonstop I've taken up there before for away trips.

But in order to fly I thought you needed a passport card or passport?

Yes, definitely. Just pointing out that there are options to get there without a connection.

Can we assume that the ECS Travel Monkeys will be able to secure a block of seats?
