Consider making a weekend out of this one, we don't have final confirmation or details yet but this will most likely be the Supporters Cup match weekend where on Saturday, we can support the supporters and ECS FC and continue our traditon of dominating Portland.

Monkey Update: Tickets to this match will go on sale tomorrow 3/10 @ noon for current ECS members.

Monkey Update 8/10/18): Ticket purchase deadline has been extended to 8/24/18 at noon Pacific. We will likely do two Monkey Mail shipments. What is the Supporters Cup you ask?

March 2010, a tradition begins. Supporters v Supporters. It began as one of the our teams vs one of their, but over the years has grown into so much more. Now featuring four squads from each Supporter Group it has become an all day event celebrating the greatest rivalry in the Pacific Northwest. Every year alternating between Seattle and Portland. The Emerald City Supporters Football Club (ECS FC) and the Timbers Army send an O-40 Men’s, Open Men’s II, Women’s I, and Men’s I squad into enemy territory to compete for the title of the regions best Supporters Football Club. It’s a fantastic event that has continued through the years and this year its our turn to go down and take Portland down! The matches will be Saturday, August 25th the day before the Sounders vs Timbers Derby Match, starting with the Men’s O-40 at 12:30 pm, Men’s II match at 2:20 pm. Then the Cup matches for the Women and Men will follow at 4:10 pm and 6:00 pm respectively. Come out and Support the Supporters. There will be food trucks and a beer garden, what better way to get ready for a derby match than watching your fellow supporters compete in a derby match of their own!

The ticket page isn't showing a purchase deadline for me -- when is the deadline to purchase for ticket-only?

Also, if anyone is interested in a ride, I'm planning to go down only for the day and would welcome some company in the car. Heading out from Lynnwood.

My wife and I are making our first trip to Portland for this! Is there a place most people prefer to stay? Otherwise we'll just book an Airbnb near the stadium. We're coming in Saturday and staying until Tuesday.

Depends on how much you want to pay. The Doubletree near the Lloyd Center is a great place, but pricey. Good if you use points though, and the service is pretty great. If I am paying cash, I stay wherever is cheapest (usually the motel 6 portland central. It smells like smoke and is kinda shitty, but it is always <$100/night and they redid the rooms so they are marginally not gross, lmao). I have also stayed at the waterfront crown plaza, but it prob wasn't worth the point cost.

The exact timing of the buses is not known yet but on the purchase description it is estimated to be 11am from Tukwila and 12pm from Tacoma. We have to calculate for traffic, construction and confirm timing with the bus company. The exact time will be provided in the Monkey Mail sent 3-4 days prior to the match.

Update 8/10/18: We extended the deadline to purchase tickets to this match to 8/24/18 at noon Pacific. There is only one bus + match combo left in the store and once sold the bus will be sold out. For those of you who pick up match only tickets consider heading down early to support the supporters for the Supporters Cup. Details have been posted in the first entry of this thread.
