WSA Song for Michael G

Regional group for the West Side of the Puget Sound.

Sung to the tune of Edelweiss (from "Sound of Music") , in honor of MG's Austrian homeland.
To be sung after fine goalkeeping.

Michael G, Michael G
You're a freaking sensation (this could be something stronger depending on audience, or "bloody sensation")
Michael G, Michael G
Best pair of hands in the nation

Michael G-spurning you're number one,
Number one forever
Michael G, Michael G]
Save our Sounders for ever

This does require sort of mispronouncing his name for the second part to make the timing right.
The main ECS song forum had concerns about this in the stadium because apparently the owners of Sound of Music rights are very strict. But for the HnH I think it shouldn't be an issue. . Any thoughts or improvements welcome.

I still think we should tell them to get fucked. This is America, I'll sing your song where and how I want.

The tough part about using edelweis or any slower melodic tune for a keeper is that you usually sing for them after a big save when everyone is surged with adrenaline. That's why the keller big tall wall chant was so perfect.

That said...I'll sing it with you at the hound.

Well, Saturday night wasn't the night to try this out, that's for sure. I'll write up the words and bring to the Hairy Hound next chance.
I have a couple of other ideas as well.

I agree about the post goal atmosphere timing. I envision it in the lull as play resumes. Anyway, its probably just going to be a pub number if we like it.
